AHC Forum 2024 Registration now open

Animal Health Canada is excited to host its annual forum, now in its 14th year!

The AHC Forum 2024 is being held in Ottawa on October 8 and 9, 2024.

The Forum is a vibrant meeting place for stakeholders in Canada’s animal health and welfare system. It is where Canadian industry and governments meet to make connections, share information, and build consensus.

It provides an opportunity for people to collaborate in the work of animal health and welfare in Canada. Participants engage to learn more about AHC’s activities and priorities, hear information on topical issues and share actions and initiatives in relation to animal health and welfare.

We are continuing to build our agenda, but here is a sneak peek of what we have in store:

  • Dr. Jude Kong to speak on leveraging AI to prepare and respond to disease outbreaks.
  • Katie Koralesky and Caroline Ritter to co-present on the topic of encouraging behaviour change/approaches that support best practices for animal health and welfare.
  • Tina Widowski to speak on animal welfare, her research, and how Canada can further position itself to be a leader in farm animal welfare through coordination, collaboration, and communication.
  • Briana Hagan will share her work at the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Wellbeing.
  • Hear updates from each of our divisions: Canadian Animal Health Surveillance System (CAHSS), National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC), and Emergency Management.

Animal Health Canada members and non-members may attend this event. It is being offered in-person, with a Zoom option for virtual attendance. Interpretation will also be offered.

Early bird registrations end July 14th!
