With over 200 people attending in-person or virtually, we proudly celebrated 15 years of bringing together senior leaders and experts from government, industry, and veterinary sectors who collaborate in the work of animal health and welfare in Canada.
Forum’s theme, "15 Years of Progress," allowed the organization to reflect on its accomplishments and the collaborative efforts needed to advance farmed animal health and welfare system in Canada.
During a panel session on day one, AHC industry co-chair Dr. Leigh Rosengren of the Canadian Cattle Association provided a history of Animal Health Canada - what shaped the organization and its successes in addressing the animal welfare and health challenges facing Canada’s food animal production system. Her presentation was captured graphically by Elaine Klemmensen of Evolve Leadership Coaching and Consulting. (Click on graphic below to enlarge)
On Day 2, the program examined responses to highly pathogenic avian influenza and broke into a lessons learned discussion for FMD preparedness. The lessons were also captured graphically. (Click on graphic below to enlarge)
The Forum closed with an end-of-day keynote from Steve Roche on the importance of working together. (Click on graphic below to enlarge)
We want to thank all of our speakers who took time out of their schedules to be part of AHC Forum 2025.
As our animal health landscape becomes more complex, the Forum will remain vital for reflection, partnership, and coordinated solutions.
Stay tuned for a SAVE THE DATE announcement for AHC Forum 2026.
Sincerely,
AHC Forum Planning Committee
