Forum 2025

The annual Animal Health Canada Forum is a vibrant meeting place for stakeholders in Canada’s animal health and welfare system. It provides an opportunity for them to collaborate in the work of animal health and welfare in Canada. Participants engage to learn more about AHC’s activities and priorities, hear from thought leaders on topical issues and to share actions and initiatives in relation to animal health and welfare. Our Forum is taking place at the Infinity Convention Centre in Ottawa, Ontario on September 23 & 24, 2025, with a virtual option for attendance also being offered.

Our theme this year is 15 years of progress to celebrate the evolution of the Forum and the overall progress we have made to farmed animal health and welfare in Canada, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our stakeholders.

Here is a sneak peek of what we have in store:

  • Be inspired by Kim McConnell’s opening keynote address; 15 Years of Collaborative Evolution
  • Explore the strategic importance of public-private partnerships and their role in advancing national animal health goals
  • Dig into the foreign animal disease response, with a focus on poultry and dairy impacts from highly pathogenic avian influenza - including the impacts on human health
  • Learn how the Outbreak Support Network is enhancing support for producers and veterinarians
  • Hear from industry members on the challenges and successes in implementing Codes of Practice

Whether you're an AHC member or not, everyone with a stake in animal health and welfare is welcome! Join us in-person in Ottawa or participate virtually via Zoom. Simultaneous interpretation will be available.

CALL FOR SPONSORS

To ensure we are able to offer a high-quality program, we are looking to you for sponsorship. This well-attended event typically hosts 100 in-person attendees with upwards of another hundred attending virtually. Our attendees are comprised of senior level policy and program staff related to animal health and welfare in the federal government and national producer associations representatives. The audience is also comprised of a number of provincial chief veterinarians, animal health laboratory representatives, a small number of producers, veterinarians in private practice, and from time to time some senior level government representatives.

This is your opportunity to gain visibility to a targeted group of animal health and welfare individuals and to showcase your support for Animal Health Canada.
